General Core Curriculum Requirements
Students seeking this degree must fulfill the outlined UTSA General Core Curriculum requirements. If you have already completed any of these courses, refer to the credit transfer guidelines to help determine your eligibility to receive credit for previous coursework. Final credit transfer decisions will be made by an academic advisor at UTSA.
There are several options for students who need to fulfill the General Core Curriculum requirements that include:
- Transfer credits from another school
- Take a course online from a limited offering of classes available through UTSA Online (please note, some classes are not delivered every semester so check the schedule for availability)
- Take a course online offered through the UT Online Consortium (UTOC) for transfer credit to UTSA
MAT 1033 and ECO 2023 satisfy both General Core Curriculum and Common Body of Knowledge degree requirements; however, if these courses are not taken to satisfy General Core Curriculum requirements, they will be required within the Common Body of Knowledge Curriculum, thus increasing the total Common Body of Knowledge Curriculum credits requirements from 45 to 51.
- It is recommended that MAT 1033 be used to satisfy the General Core Curriculum requirement in Mathematics and ECO 2023 be used to satisfy the General Core Curriculum requirement in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
